Please join me for a fun morning of seed collecting. Epilobium densiflorum provides late-summer nectar and pollen for native bees, syrphid flies, moths, birds, and other pollinators in the late summer when few other blooms remain. Collecting local seed supports UNPP’s effort to develop a regionally adapted wetland pollinator seed mix for partner-led restoration projects in the Umpqua.
RSVP to receive the meet-up info and carpool options from Roseburg; timing may change due to weather/seed maturity. Paper bags and a quick field ID/collecting demo will be provided. Please bring hiking boots/long pants, sun/bug protection, water/snacks, light gloves, and small snips. Family-friendly, all ages welcome. Please don't forget to sign the waiver here.
